UNITED SOLAR

We got solar panels installed just before Fall of 2019 and as of a month ago they are finally producing energy for us for the first time! First it was a nightmare to get them installed! They placed the equipment in the driveway, AND THEN tried to schedule a day to install, however they were never sure that they could actually put me on the schedule. I was given a date and then another and then another, I had to take time off multiple times to be in the house because they needed access to the inside, but they never showed up. When they did show up to install they dropped a solar panel off of the roof and hit our pergola and shattered the pannel, we are still cleaning up after it. We were told it would be replaced and that would be easy as wveruthing was set up around it, but they never confirmed that they actually replaced it, we just have to take the word of the secretary who didnt even know of the incident originally. Then the inspection from the electric company, which was supposed to be done within a week, never came. The first few months of non-operation I couldn't get a hold of anyone and when I finally could everytime I would get a different excuse and then if I spoke to a different person I got different information completely. Once I even called the electric company to ensure they were doing thier part and they assured me that it had been done long before I called them. United solar insisted that it was the electric company causing the problem even AFTER I had check with the electric company and forwarded all the completed documentation to United Solar. Thankfully they reimbursed the money lost due to non-operation and FINALLY got the panels operational but it was a LONG, STRESSFUL process. Now I am finally seeing prduction but I cannot monitor it as I cannot get an answer about an app that I am supposed to be able to see the solar panels production with. Overall just not a great experience. Save yourself the trouble and stress and don't be fooled by the charming sales people, who by the way work for a different company and is only a sales person and has no association with the company AT ALL. DO NOT GET SOLAR PANELS FROM THESE PEOPLE IF YOU VALUE YOUR TIME AND SANITY!

Im very satisfied with my decision to go solar. And enrolling with United Solar was easy. They made it easy. Hollie and Keefe did everything for us. Keefe answered all my questions throughout the installation process. I wish I could have done the whole roof, but the HOA wont let me. I got to do the back part thats not facing the street. Ive only gotten one utility bill since then, but it was low. All in all, my experience with United was good. They made it easier to pay for and made it easy to install. And hopefully, it will help me lower my utility bill in the future.

United Solar is a great company!! We had a great experience from beginning to end!! Staff and install crew are very professional and Keefe was great!! He helped us through the whole process and answered all our questions about the installation!! My husband and I totally recommend United Solar to anyone considering solar!!

Do not use this company. Please spare yourself the stress and expense. They promise so much but have failed to deliver in every aspect. We were told it would only be a few weeks until our installation would take place. It was a few months. We were promised that we would be set up with an app to monitor the solar panels and production, but I cannot get anyone to answer an email or a phone call about getting this done. So I have no idea if my system is working as it should. I was told I have a 25 year warranty, but if this company cannot help me to get the app set up, I cannot imagine that they would take it upon themselves to contact me and fix a problem should one arise. They promise a referral bonus for anyone I recommend to them that gets a system installed, but they haven't paid the bonus to the person who recommended me. I was also promised that they would cover the first 18 months of payments on the loan for this project. HA! When i received the first bill I contacted my salesman who says that they cannot pay the loan company directly, so they will cut me a check directly which totals the first 18 months of payments. I have called numerous times, left multiples messages, sent multiple emails. No answer, and obviously no check, and I've been paying several months of payments on the loan now. These guys are liars and thieves. I will be taking them to court for the entire cost of the system. As their warranty is only as good as the paper it was printed on, I can't trust it. I want a system and a company I can trust.

Overall, my husband and I are very dissatisfied with our experience with United Solar. Of course at first, the salesman was all about helping us and answering our questions and responded right away to emails or calls. Once we got locked in, it was like pulling teeth to get an answer on when our install would be, if we passed inspection, and when the actual inspection would be so they could be turned on. We finally get an install date, the panels are installed, and weeks later I find out from the county that it was done without a permit and they had no idea the install was done as it shouldn't have been, and that is why no inspection date was set. This is about 3.5 months after we signed the contract. We were told all this would take 4-6 weeks, not 15. Now we are having a problem with one of the set of panels and every.single.time I call the main phone number, it rings and no one answers. I leave messages, no call back. I recommended my neighbors to them and am supposed to get a $500 credit because they actually got panels installed too but of course I can't get an answer back on that either because the salesman we used, is now gone. Buyer beware with this company. Do your research. And don't be charmed by the salesman telling you what you want to hear. Once they have your name signed on the dotted line, they don't give a damn about you.
