I was introduced to EMPWR/SC Solar (not sure how they're related) by a door to door salesman several months ago. I've been interested in solar for a long time, just moved into a new home, in an community with HOA who is not solar friendly, especially on the fronts of homes. I told the salesman this, knowing personally that the HOA and architectural committee would deny it, and we'd have to fight the decision, which I was concerned about. I was told that EMPR has a great legal team who will fight as far as I'm willing to go, and that they 'never' lose. I allowed the process to move forward, hoping that they'd be able to help me navigate the HOA issues. Instead, I was treated to months of terrible communication, being shifted around from person to person, but no one actually seemed to have any power, or idea what was going on.After more than a month from the original salesman, I got a call from their install team, asking if when I'd like to schedule the installation. I asked what happened with the HOA, did we get an approval? He responded that he didn't know, but it'd been more than 30 days, so the HOA had missed their chance to respond and they wanted to move forward. I asked that he look into it, but as long as the HOA approval had actually come through, that they could put me on the calendar.Sensing something was off, I called my HOA management company to see what they had to say, and found out that they'd sent the application back for more information, but EMPWR never responded. They wanted a few more pieces of information, and wanted to clear up a discrepancy between the language on the application, and the drawings attached.Well guess what, someone at EMPWR thought they'd be clever and put on the first page of the application that the panels would be on the back of the house, while all of the diagrams and photos showed the front. I guess they assumed it might sneak through without notice. Well it didn't, and a fake version of MY SIGNATURE was at the top of this document with inaccurate information.I called EMPWR, explained what I'd found, and was told the installation would be cancelled, and that they'd resume work negotiating with the HOA. The day of the canceled install, a crew of 6 guys, drove all the way from Charlotte to Raleigh, and then stood around on my lawn while I got back on the phone, for someone at EMPWR to explain why the crew still showed up. They had NO IDEA the crew as still scheduled. At this point, I told whoever I could find on the phone at EMPWR that I had zero confidence that could get this done, based on the absolute failing of competence that I'd witnessed. But with all this time sunk into trying to unravel everything, I thought I'd allow one more chance for them to send in the legal team and get my installation approved.More time goes by, and I get ANOTHER call asking to schedule installation, and I explained (not very nicely at this point) that I know my application was denied by the HOA and that there was no way we were ready to schedule the install. I expressed my dissatisfaction with lack of effort they'd put in to dealing with my HOA, and how very unprofessional every interaction had been. To add insult to injury, the guy I was talking to at this point simply asked if I wanted to put the panels on the back of my house instead! You guys were the ones who told me the rear of my house wasn't even financially feasible (for me, obviously they'd put panels on your dead grandma if they could make a buck off of it). I told him it was the front or nothing, and he ended the call by telling me that if they made more progress, they'd call me back, but if not, I could expect to never hear from them again. It's SO VERY unfortunate that something as important as moving our planet to renewable energy is being tasked to such useless, dishonest scum. You're giving the very idea of renewable energy a bad name by associating it with scam-my practices and bad customer service.

They offered several ideas to best meet the needs for my home; as well as financing options. Williams knowledge of the industry and passion for what he does is incomparable.
