South Padre Vacation Rentals by Vacasa

I want to warn individuals looking for a rental or Airbnb to stay away from vacasa homes. I rented an Airbnb with them for today and tomorrow. The lock code did not work and we were never able to get a hold of someone to assist us. We had to drive home 2 hours. I sent texts and called for over an hour and nothing. Today, I expected a call back and have still not heard from them. Especially if you are traveling to a location farffar home, do not book with them. In case of an emergency you will not be able to get a hold of anyone. It unreliable and unsafe.

Unfortunately, I have another bad experience to share. We stayed at their Beachview condo a month ago. We arrived with sheets that were not clean in any of the bedrooms, they were stained and had a distinct odor. House was not prepped at all for our arrival. Shower was functional if that meant you needed a bucket to capture water from the bottom spout and pour over your head. Dishwasher smelled like rotten eggs, we were unable to use it. There was clumps of hair underneath the doors and in the walkways. In the master bedroom, there was a section of blinds missing. We had to improvise and use towels to cover the window for privacy. We were told this would be fixed, no one ever showed up through out our stay. I do want to mention that our unit was infested with cockroaches. Quiet time at the condo is at 11pm. This was not enforced either. I attempted to contact the Vacasa management company. No response. I also tried calling their contact number that was given with the reservation. No answer. Proceed with caution.

Our room and ac sucked in the separate rooms no internet for my kids we couldnt use the sink cause it smelled bad wont be dealing wit them anytime soon

The place we rented was immaculate and beautiful. Never rented a cleaner place.. 5 stars
