I joined because City of Fitchburg was working with the coop on city buildings and we wanted panels for our home. I met several member-installers and ended up getting a great price from a reliable, local installer. They followed up with me nearly a year later when my wifi was offline and they couldn't see my kWh production; Awesome!

We joined Legacy Solar Co-op because we wanted to dedicate our attention to growing solar in Wisconsin. They have a very local approach, similar to the local organic food movement, that gives the individual or family a chance to support solar projects across the state. You can get involved simply by investing and getting a return, having your home assessed for energy efficiency or by switching to solar and buying solar credits.
