Vivint Solar

My panels didnt work for quite some time, response time to fix them took quite some time too. Resulted in very high bills from APS on top of paying for the solar. They told me they would credit my Vivint account and they never did, just continued to pull full amount monthly and when I called again to ask why they told me I had to wait 1 year before they would even see if I would qualify for any credit....when they confirmed my panels were not producing energy during this time....

Going solar is easy with Vivint. Takes a little while to get system installed and up and running. Getting permits and inspections is kinda a slow process. Salesman, inspector (for Vivint), and installers are all friendly and listen when you talk to them. System is installed and should be on in 2 or 3 weeks.

Probably the worst company to deal with in the history of ever. I had Vivant installed and my bills went up over $800 in 6 months. Turns out the solar panels were not installed or working properly. Before we sold our home we were told we would receive what was owed to us but VIVANT themselves said they would make it right and compensate us for our over payments. Due to not having a full year of comparisons, we waited a full year, like they recommended. Ultimately then they said, you transferred the ownership so now we can't pay you. Even though THEY are the ones that told us they would make it right after a year of data collections on the unit. Even if we SOLD our home. The contract in question was while WE owned the home. The employees that you call in to talk to were actually appalled themselves and couldn't believe they were doing this. But the 'committee' that decides the outcome says too bad. Terrible customer service and the bait and switch in full effect at this business. When I spoke to the final person, he talked over me and kept repeating the same thing that I signed a legal document. Even though that was the recommendation by Vivant. They actually said, 'they do this all the time.' So it's ok. What ever you do.... DO NOT go with VIVANT.

They are liars! We were told that if our electric bill was high they would add more panels. Well our electric bill is extremely high and we are being told we can't have more panels. Customer service is not helpful. They are short and rude. I asked to talk with a supervisor and they wouldn't let me. Stay clear of this company. They will say whatever they need to make a sale and then not follow through.

If you had asked me six months ago, I wouldve given this company five stars. We have had this service for a decent amount of time now and I have very little complaints about the solar panel system itself. What I do have drastic complaints about is the customer service at this company. We actually liked our solar so much that we referred Vivint to a friend, they (supposedly) have a great referral program. Our friends had Vivints solar panels installed on their home, and even received their referral bonus in a timely manner (if we referred them, they also got a cash sum as well). As for our end of the deal, Vivint has consistently avoided and dodged my husband and I regarding our referral bonus. I assure you I am not being dramatic when I tell you we have contacted them over 10 times regarding this issue. Its been a 5-6 month ordeal and still goes unresolved. Obviously you cant just decide you dont want solar panels on your roof after you have then installed! Theyre great. However, I will absolutely not be referring anyone else to Vivint until this issue is rectified. Its absolutely unprofessional and unacceptable to leave a client hanging for over FIVE MONTHS. You would think Customer Service could help us out, but sadly we have been disconnected three times in a row. Very disappointed, Vivint. Even if this were an issue of miscommunication, there is no excuse for the lack of response by multiple people on your team.
