They have really good service but the fact that I have the give my checking account number for me to pay my bill is outrageous. You'd think because we're in the 21st century you could just do it with the card.

Pay attention to your bill. They screw up a lot. I didn't pay a bill for 9 months. I kept asking them about it. I didn't want to get stuck with a big bill. They kept saying someone was paying it. Finally they discovered they made a mistake. I got out of paying it. Then they sent me a bill again. It was $80. I always paid $110. Then the next year it went down to $60. I thought if they keep screwing up they'll be paying me to use their service. :) Finally they got it straightened out. I got a bill for $110 every month after that. Other than their billing problems I have no complaints about Mid American. They always rushed to get the power back on.
