Sales team does a great job of selling their service and even gives you a gift card. Once the process is handed off the experience changes. Communicating with project managers is difficult and takes quite a bit of time to respond. Our Project was on time and moving quickly up until the panels were installed on our house. The Communication between the solar company and power company is where we saw the real hold up. The power company was very honest and upfront with us and let us know that payment was not received so they could not do anything until they received it. When they came out to inspect the wiring on our system, they notified me that the meter ring was left inside the meter box. They also let me know that if the breaker was turned on while that was in, major electrical damage would have occurred. Each time the techs come out there is a new issue or item that is missing. Will update review when we actually have working solar. Update: The Power Company came out to swap my meters so we could start using our solar panels. Unfortunatly we received another set back. The meter box that the solar company installed had a peice of cardboard electirical tapped to it. Under that cardboard is a 3 inch hole that should have been sealed with a plate or plug. The city power company said they could not install our meter with a hole in the top of the meter box. Another oversight from the solar company and a potential electeical hazard left unchecked. I had to update the reveiw to 1 star due to the lack of attention that was given to our install.

I did a ton on research about the different solar companies in Utah before reaching out to Smart Wave Solar. I had an initial phone conversation with Curtis and sent him some of my energy use data over the last year (I was able to look it up on the Lehi City power website). After about a week, he came to my home and met with me and my wife. I'm a software developer so really wanted to understand the details about the costs; how much I'd be spending per month, how much it would save me, how long I'd be paying for the solar panels, etc. I was super impressed with the amount of preparation Curtis had put into personalizing a solar plan for me. He was able to optimize things to keep my monthly cost the same as it was without solar, knowing once the solar panels were paid off, it would drop down to $0 (at least, when the sun it out :)) I really appreciated that Curtis was extremely knowledgable and able to answer all my questions. He wasnt pushy and recognized that this is a big financial decision and has given me the time and space to make the decision without pressure. Im pretty sure Im going to sign up, though I havent yet. Oh, and they sent me a $100 Amazon Gift card just for talking with them, which is pretty awesome! I highly recommend Smart Wave Solar!

I met with 3 solar companies before deciding on Smart Wave Solar. Not only was the pricing competitive, but the service has been second to none. The team I am working with are incredible!! Curtis, my sales rep is professional and answered all of my questions thoroughly. I can always reach him on the phone - which is rare for a sales person. He crunched the numbers for me and I realized solar is a NO-BRAINER - and in today's climate, a no-brainer for everyone. Bethany, the project manager has made everything so seamless and easy!! She is on top of things and is managing the process perfectly. All in all, I highly recommend Smart Wave Solar.
