Spring Solar

Spring solar is a half price company with a full price experience. I worked with Kory who was great. He was very patient with me and my many questions any question he wasn't able to answer he refereed me to his installers. His response was always very prompt and concise. I researched Solar for over a year before deciding to go with spring solar, resulting in many quotes with an average twice the price of Spring Solar. I looked at DIY options including full kits built for my consumption and location including my west facing roof. I found Spring solar offering a Custom Sized DIY installed kit including plans, engineered drawing, racks, inverters, and panels, at a very competitive price. When I asked for a quote including install I was very surprised. maybe even a little skeptical. I looked for other comparable quotes and the closest anyone ever came was $8k more than what i paid. I had unique requests as well such as using some of own old solar panels which they did without hesitation. The install crew was very professional, knowledgeable, and personable. They had no problem with me watching or even getting on the roof for a closer look. I would give these guys 6 stars if I could they are highly recommended by me. Coming from a construction background I can say everything they did was common practice or best practice from installing the rack foot flashing for the roof penetrations, and wiring.

When we first met with Sam, we felt very comfortable with him and were grateful for the information he gave us about solar. We had spoken with another company three years prior to this who quoted us two and a half times the price that Spring Solar did. Sam showed us the value of solar and our accountant showed us the tax credits, and we said, 'Yes!' Don't hesitate to get your solar system from Spring Solar, our system works great. They added in a couple of outlets and switches so we could have power with the grid down as long as the sun is up. They also added an inlet for using a generator - very cool! We are set!

I am currently in the process of using spring solar to install my solar panels. Dealing with Sam has been great. He's very easy to work with and the communication has been okay. The installation went...okay. Once they were 100% done with the installation they realized they didn't install one panel! So we had to make some last-minute adjustments and corrections to try to get one more panel on my house. They also do not clean up after themselves, my front yard was littered with cardboard and scrap from the installation. Apparently that is normal but I was not informed of this. It didn't pass the initial inspection so now the city of West Jordan is coming out to re-inspect. I definitely got the panels for a really good price and the quality of the system seems really good. Hopefully once it is up and running it will work as advertised. Update. Once West Jordan came back out and re-inspected the system, everything passed. There were just a few minor adjustments that needed to be made. After about a week Rocky Mountain came out and changed my net meter. After they left I noticed it only 24 of my 25 panels were producing power. I notified Sam about this and he said after they mapped my system through solaredge they would try to get it fixed. That was over a week ago. I Finally I just got up on the roof and found the panel that was not connected and fixed it myself. It was as simple as connecting a couple of clips (pic included). All of my panels are now producing and the system is running really well. Now that my system is mapped and running at full strength I couldn't be happier. There were a couple of bumps in the road but very minor ones. It has been an absolute pleasure to work with Sam and Michael. He is willing to work with you in every aspect of the install and is always very fair and a super nice guy to boot. I got my system for an amazing price and am very impressed with the quality of all the hardware used. I would recommend Spring Solar to anybody who is interested in the solar system. I had bids from about seven different solar companies including Solar City. I honestly don't think I could have gotten a better quality system even by spending $10,000 more.
