We installed a brand new 16k Generac for a customer. Genny set off low oil pressure alert and then shut down during quiet exercise run. And it would do this on every exercise we simulated. D-square came out and switched it to the standard noise level exercise run. No more low oil light and no more shut down. It worked in the normal setting. However my customer wanted the low noise exercise option that he paid for when he bought the generator, and why not? Its a function advertised by Generac and it is clearly faulty. D square sent the customer a $400 bill said they cant get Generac to cover an adjustment. Well it shouldnt have been adjusted, it should have been fixed. We called Generac directly, they said the technician shouldve been looking to fix the faulty item as it should function properly in quiet exercise mode as it was intended. They informed me to call a different company who is certified through Generac. Last week Melissa Cameron told us we would get a call back by this Monday. No one ever called. So I emailed her on Wednesday. I also tried to call on Wednesday but no one there ever answers any phone calls. Its Friday now, 5 days past when she said she would get back to us by. We tried calling again, even trying every extension link, not a single anwser. If your a residential contractor I would suggest look else where. Funny part is Ive been referring customers to them for years and this is the first time I had to deal with them directly. Obviously I wont refer anyone else to them. My customer is 85, awesome person. Just paid for a new Generac install and now has a $400 bill that he must pay and D square wont fix what they shouldve.

Paid them $2600 for repairing a generator transfer switch that wasn't switching just last year. First time we have snow this season and the switch still doesn't switch. Called them, and their answer: 1) Generac's fault 2) your fault because you didnt do service (even though the device was installed less than 12 months ago) 3) 'we can come in 4 days'. Called another company and they come within two hours. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere..

I own an electrical company and had purchased a 22kw generator and two 200 amp transfer switches through d square with the bill totaling around $15k. I recently have had issues with the customers transfer switches and have tried calling these guys 15 times to no avail. Extremely poor transparency and most likely the truth to this is if you are not a government contractor or huge buyer to them you dont mean anything. These guys started out in a garage and it seems they have forgotten there humble beginnings.
