This company is really bad. Worst of all, customers don't have a choice so it is pretty much a dictatorship of utility. 3 years in a row now they have blamed me for non payment after setting up automatic billing. This year, they took it a step forward and disconnected me. After lengthy calls, they disregarded my concerns and history as a costumer and had to make a new account with fees and reconnection fees and a deposit because they seem to just judge whoever doesn't pay. The state needs to add competition and teach this company a lesson. They wouldnt be this way if 5 other utility companies offered cheaper rates or better services.

Edit: apparently PSE only sends out notifications via mail and they had the wrong mailing address. Note that PSE will not email, call or text if your auto-pay fails. I recommend calling and having an agent set up your auto-pay.I set up auto-pay several times online over a few days because the website kept throwing errors, only to have my power shut off months later without any warning for lack of payment. Not a phone call, not a letter, not even an email. They just turned it off while I was at work. This was during a week with freezing temperatures and I have dogs at home. Terrible customer experience - this is what happens when natural monopolies do not have reprocussions like normal businesses.
